SID / STAR implementation

There are 2 switches to selectively enable or disable the use of SID and STAR procedures in the auto-routing process.

The system contains a database of applicable SID/STAR entry/exit points for each airport. No reference is made to specific procedures; instead, the system just uses the list of applicable SID/STAR endpoints as possible connections with the airway structure.

Note that the SID/STAR database also contains connecting points in Europe that are listed in the Eurocontrol/IFPS system as acceptable connections, even if they are not part of any published procedure. In this case the route generator will note these arrival and departures as "DCT" instead of "SID" or "STAR".

When disabling the SID and/or STAR options the route generator simply chooses a navigation point in the vicinity of the airports as departure/arrival, trying to minimize the length of the routing.

Thus the generated flight plan does not include the detailed description of SID and STAR procedures; it only gives an indication of which SID/STAR connecting point you should plan.
