Auto-routing
This module can also be used for free in the non-commercial section of the site (http:///free/).
The commercial version also takes in consideration the airway restrictions (conditional routes and RAD - route availability document) as defined by Eurocontrol. The system is being continuously improved and most of the times is able to generate a flight plan which will pass the examination of the Eurocontrol IFPS flight plan validator.
Below you can see the auto-routing form, where to enter the departure and arrival airports. You may also set some options which will affect the automatic routing algorithm.
The system will generate a report which describes the routing solution found.
Additionally, if required, RouteFinder will list potential restrictions on the computed route. Using an interactive process and following the indications of the system, the operator can selectively exclude route segments which result closed and/or unavailable to this particular flight.
The basic idea is to analyze the description of the restrictions reported, decide wether they are applicable to our flight, and if so exclude them. Then, ask for a reroute and repeat the process until there are no applicable restrictions.
